Mr. Nic Otsyeno
Alumni, Class of 2014
Being a student of Maasai Mara University has been an enduring investment, one that commenced before admission was assembled during my time at MMARAU, and will flourish after graduation. I have learned and grown beyond my expectations. The multicultural environment and capable instructors at MMARAU furnished me with a solid academic foundation and skills for my current responsibilities. I recall that the period spent here was one of the best periods of my life. MMARAU is really a treasure house. I was very satisfied with the flexibility and variety of options available in choosing courses. There is a strong correlation between courses and they are well organized to focus on career objectives. Learning about Computer Science practices and interacting with multinational students at MMARAU was indispensable for me in pursuing a career in Computer Science. I realize that MMARAU has provided me with a lot of unique, useful and constructive experiences in my life and career. I have been able to improve my cross-cultural skills, which are required in the global IT market, by interacting with various students from different regions in discussions and working with group members in class meetings. Its collections are great. I am forever grateful!
Alumni, Class of 2013
Life at MMARAU was not that easy but knowing where I was coming from and having Christ in me gave me a good foundation. Financial times were sometimes hard but I thank the Lord for He taught me contentment. I can't deny I used to give my studies my all but I ascribe all the glory and honors to God for my first Class. Having a degree in Business Management and CPA certifications I landed my first job in exactly one week after leaving school. It takes humility courage and sense of gratitude to the Lord for He has taken me miles. Today as I write this testimonial I have landed yet another new opportunity as an auditor in one leading retail chain of companies in Kenya. I owe gratitude to my tutors, family friends and colleagues at MMARAU for they defined who I am today. The atmosphere of tranquility I enjoyed at MMARAU sums it up all. To MMARAU, you are my mum and dad, I am grateful and I will forever live to say thank you. God bless Maasai Mara University.

Alumni, Class of 2013
Sitting in a computer science class five years ago, I never thought I would end up where I am currently. Everything that happened then now seems to have been in tune with my future in the field of IT. It was not an easy ride through campus; dealing with classes, assignments, clubs, and societies but all in all I achieved my best through the help of the Maasai Mara University lecturers and staff. Am currently working as an assistant network administrator at Chloride Exide East Africa. I thank the Almighty for the good care and blessings. "Nothing good comes easy", so goes the saying of old, and I agree.

My experience in MMARAU: Every place, every situation and everything has a challenge of its own. Even roses have thorns. Being a student in MMARAU has shaped me as a person, challenged me to strive for the best and not settle for the mediocre. I have learned to be self-sufficient, resilient and to work hard to achieve my goals since nothing comes on a silver platter.
Encouragement to fellow students and alumni: I urge all comrades to put their best foot forward in ensuring that they actively take part in the soon to be established MMARAU Alumni Association. Let's bring great minds together!

Every journey starts with preparation; every little step counts in life as you journey on. This far The Lord is Ebenezer. A walk of 4 years in the campus has been very educative, inspiring and many concepts gained in Maasai Mara University has enabled me to be who I am today. It goes with no say that my presence in Maasai Mara University was not in vain.
I would love to congratulate all graduates this year for making it this far. I also would love to appreciate the University at large for being a helping hand through the journey. I would love to encourage all who are pursuing studies in school and those planning to join Maasai Mara University to make the most of every time and gain all you can while in Campus. The school is recognized outside here by the products it has sent to the corporate world. The corporate world is how you perceive, it needs a lot of determination, discipline and plan at all times.
I also take this chance to encourage all alumni to register in MMARAU website and join MMARAU alumni webpage for further interaction outside here.
I appreciate The Almighty God, for keeping the school this far and expanding the school in an amazing way. May The Lord richly bless Maasai Mara University.

I take this opportunity to congratulate the graduating class of 2017 for their exceptional achievement. This is a very important chapter the success story you have been authoring.
It gives me the pride to be associated with Maasai Mara University as Alumni. This University, in 2015, graduated me in not only Undergraduate degree in Education, but also in the value for honesty, integrity, hard work and value-based leadership, virtues too important for the world you are getting into. It was an extraordinary privilege to be extended to serve as a Student Leader in charge of Academic Affairs, a role that crowned me in 2017 with Exemplary Student Leader of the Year Award by AYLF (Africa Youth Leadership Forum & National Prayer Breakfast). This has changed the story of my life. It’s that gospel of transformational leadership that catalyzed me to initiate the Youth Empower Program working at community grass root levels.
As you receive the power to read today and to do all that appertains it, I say, Congratulations!. This is just one key, though so golden, to unlock the unlimited potential in you for the pursuit of happiness, liberty and the immense opportunities the world will offer. However, despite the opportunities, one year outside Campus has taught me that challenges are real, which must be overcome to realize the beauty of your dreams. “In every challenge, take time to think of the lessons learned, recording small wins and setbacks, documenting conflict between value and practice. Don’t stop after naming the first three or four obvious accomplishments or joys of your life, continue until you have named two dozen sources of pride or more”, Kathy Whitmire counsels.
Finally, I thank the ad hoc committee for the establishment of the MMARAU Alumni Association and having a constitution for it. I encourage the graduands of 2017 to register immediately in the MMARAU website and be part of this interactive platform.
God bless you, and God bless Maasai Mara University.

communication & Public Relations, 2016. Student leader academic year 2013/2014. (Chief Editor)-Spearheaded publication of 1st University Magazine (The Pearl).
Currently: Founder and Programs Coordinator of a community based non-profit organization, Community Development and Leadership Initiatives (CoDeLI), Youth Leader of a National Political Party,
Devolution Party of Kenya (DPK), and Political Communication Strategist.
First of all, I would like to congratulate all the 2017 graduands. This is the time when all those sleepless nights and random breakdowns become all worth it.
I am proud of being a MMARAU alumnus. Last year, I was sitting where you are now. I was eager to conquer the very competitive world. I was very tired of reading and discussing. Even before graduation, I first got employed as a Sales executive with M-ELIMU limited company, I resigned after 6 Months to follow my passion.
As a young woman and leader, I was passionate about engaging and developing strengths of young women with leadership ambitions in remote Tharaka-Nithi County, to increase the impact of their participation in community leadership opportunities. I founded community Development and leadership Initiatives (CoDeLI).
I would like to encourage you to always choose and follow your passion. Do want your love and it will reward you in ways you will not imagine. Do more than maintaining a dream job. Grow, create and lead others to their dream jobs.
I began my leadership journey in Maasai Mara University as a student leader, I sincerely thank my wonderful mentors. In the just concluded general elections, I actively participated in Political party politics where I was listed as a nominee for Devolution Party of Kenya in the 12th National Assembly. Even if your efforts seem small, recognize that small steps will sum up to great accomplishments.
Indeed the journey has not been a walk in the park. Never give up as you will fail many times. When you fail, learn and keep moving forward.
