The Information Communication Technology department of Maasai Mara University cuts across the University and therefore seeks to address the issues of the emerging technologies and prioritizing on modernizing the university’s ICT infrastructure and services that support teaching, learning and research activities. The University is now connected to the Internet through a fiber optic cable and plans are underway to link all buildings together with fiber connectivity. The department has come up with cost cutting and innovative solutions through the adoption of cloud based services and look forward to be a provider of cloud based services. The department enables other departments and section to enhance productivity through provisioning of innovative technology and automating the core services of the University. The department is currently implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The system will not only increase efficiency but also cut down cost and reduce wastage.

Establishment of a French Language Institute/ centre Maasai Mara University is currently teaching French language to students undertaking tourism, arts and hospitality courses.

Establish and promote joint research, development projects and academic cooperation with focus on the Maasai Mara (ecosystem, living conditions, economic growth and biodiversity)

Create incubation centers and incubate student's projects with potential for commercialization. Attachment of MMU staff to enterprise funded through KIE for purposes of gaining experience that would be ploughed back into teaching.
