Prof. Francis Mburu, PhD. Director, PSSP

Director, PSSP

baruaMaasai Mara University established the Privately Sponsored Students Programme (PSSP) programme to facilitate access to university education on a self-sponsored basis. PSSP in general supports the government’s policy of improving access to university education and learning opportunities to those who are eligible. PSSP performs the following specific functions: supports the University mission of providing quality education through innovative teaching, research and consultancy; enhances the university capacity to attract and retain staff by contributing to staff welfare; and enhances corporate social responsibility of the university.

The Directorate of PSSP manages PSSP activities on day to day basis. These include recruitment of PSSP students; marketing of PSSP academic programmes and short courses; and advising on quality, standards  and demand for PSSP programmes.

We have innovative market-driven academic programmes at Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s and Doctoral levels housed in five schools. The programmes are offered at the Main Campus in Narok and satellite campuses located at Narok Town, Bomet, Kisii, Kilgoris, Nyandarua, Nairobi, and Kajiado.
