Strategic Leadership in Enhancing Vocational Training

  • Providing leadership in the design development, implementation and evaluation of Vocational Training policies
  • Promoting integration of ICT in Vocational training; Developing policy on vocational training quality assurance and standards
  • Coordinating revitalization and promotion of Vocational Training in line with the national development agenda and Vision 2030
  • Liaising with CDACC, TVETA, KNQA and other relevant Ministries/Departments within the University, County Governments and other stakeholders on matters pertaining to the management of vocational training

Accreditation

We are pleased to inform you that Maasai Mara Institute has been fully accredited as a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA). The TVETA established under the TVET Act No. 29 of 2013 regulates and coordinates technical and vocational training in the country through licensing, registration and accreditation of programs, institutions and trainers. 

The TVET Institute based at the Maasai Mara University, Narok; offers a perfect and serene environment for learning and above standard facilities and resources to students for the empowerment of their learning process. The Institute is governed by a board, comprising renowned, excellent and diverse individuals who are masters in their respective fields with years of experience in executing oversight roles. At the helm of the Maasai University TVET Institute seats the capable and outstanding Director-Principal TVET Professor Stella Kirui.
