Course Structure

The Bachelor of Environmental Planning, Management and Policy shall run for four full time academic years (8 semesters) excluding a 3-month industrial attachment to be taken between the 6th and 7th semesters.

Admission Requirements

In addition to meeting the minimum general university admission requirements into the Bachelor of Environmental Planning, Management and Policy, applicants must have obtained:

  1. A mean grade of C+ (C Plus) at KCSE

OR

  1. ‘A’ level school leaver with a minimum of division three in the Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) with at least credit passes in the subjects listed above and two principal passes in high school;

OR

  1. Those who have not directly qualified for a direct entry for a degree course at high school, but have attained a Diploma in Environmental Planning/Environmental Studies/Wildlife Management/ Forestry/ Architecture/ Engineering/Tourism/Community Development/Sociology/Geography/Urban and Regional Planning from a recognized institution will join the BACHELOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING, MANAGEMENT AND POLICY programme in Year II (Two);

OR

  1. Applicants who are holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) or Advanced Diploma in Environmental studies/Wildlife Management/ Forestry/ Architecture/ Engineering/Tourism/ Community Development/Sociology/Environmental Planning/Geography/Urban Planning, will join the BACHELOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING, MANAGEMENT AND POLICY programme in Year III but will have take Maasai Mara University Common Courses.
