The University, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Peninah Aloo-Obudho, hosted a consultative meeting with key stakeholders to advance the “Make Narok Green” initiative. The meeting focused on environmental conservation efforts including tree planting and establishing environmental clubs. Partners from government, religious, business, and community organizations joined University staff to plan collaborative greening strategies for Narok.

The University hosted partners and stakeholders inclined towards environmental conservation to plan on making Narok green through the green concept initiative. The meeting was chaired by the Vice-chancellor Prof. Peninah Aloo-Obudho.
The University is working with schools, religious leaders, youth and women groups to establish environmental clubs and trainings on tree nursery development and management.
 
 
To make Narok green, the University is planning to plant trees for the improvement of the recreational parks. For this to happen, there is need to need to engage stakeholders and this meeting was for this purpose.
The meeting drew various partners and stakeholders: Augustine Rugut, Bishop JGPM, David Mpatiany, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kennedy Mwangome, DCC Narok Central, Elizabeth Tiamoi, NEMA, Anne Migwi, GWO, Lydia Moshira, ENSDA, Justine Sosio, CEO, KNCCI and Allan Ntimama, Narok Count
Other University management and staff present were: Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research Innovation and Outreach Prof. Francis Mburu, Acing Deputy Registrar , RIO, Mr. Galfen Omuse and Marjan Abdala, RIO.
