Vision: To be an excellent programme of nursing of choice in the provision of quality nursing education for sustainable development.
Mission: To provide quality-nursing education for the delivery of quality nursing care through the application of evidence-based practices, innovative strategies, and appropriate technology.
The rationale of the Programme: The programme has been developed in response to changing needs, locally, region and global, based on the situation analysis. The programme is designed to equip graduates with knowledge, skills, and attitude in the discharge of professional duties in nursing practice, education, leadership, and research. It will further enable the graduates to develop and integrate critical thinking and evidence-based practices into the practice of nursing.
Goals of the Programme: To produce an effective, self-directed nurse serving as a role model for excellence in nursing practice, education, management, innovation, and research, with an understanding and commitment to community service.

Admission requirements:
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or it is Equivalent with minimum Aggregate of C+ (plus)
In addition, applicants should have the following clusters;
Cluster A: C+ (plus) in each of the required subjects Mathematics/Physics, English/Kiswahili, Chemistry, Biology
Cluster B: C+(plus) in each of the required subjects English/Kiswahili, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Biological Sciences
OR
I Principal passes in Biology and Chemistry and a subsidiary pass either in physics or Mathematics
II. Kenya Registered Nurse Diploma or equivalent and a mean grade of C or Division II in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. Should have worked for a minimum of 2 years following registration.
